A decade inside higher education taught Errold Jones how the system works and the support needed for young people.

From Jamaica, Queens to the Halls of Higher Education
Errold Jones grew up in Jamaica, Queens, with family roots in Laurens, South Carolina. During high school he had to "figure it out". No roadmap. No guide. Just determination and the belief that the path forward existed, even when it wasn't visible. That experience never left him. It became the foundation for everything that followed.
After earning his Bachelor of Arts in History from Ithaca College in 2015, Errold spent the next decade working across every dimension of the student experience from financial aid to admissions, student engagement, and alumni affairs at institutions including The New School and Columbia University.
In 2023 he completed his Executive Master of Public Administration at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, concentrating in social entrepreneurship, social impact, and community engagement.
Verlee's Garden is where his education, his experience, and his purpose converge.
