Named after a woman who fed her neighbors, tended her garden, and loved without limits, this work carries her spirit forward.
She Had 21 Siblings and a Garden Full of Love
Verlee was the youngest of 21 siblings. She was known throughout her community for the garden in her front yard, always in bloom, always beautifully tended. She cooked for her neighbors. She opened her door to anyone who needed it. She was a warm, familiar face for everyone who crossed her path. She simply showed up for people, consistently, generously, and with her whole heart. That is the spirit Verlee's Garden was built to carry forward.
What Students Need Most
Behind every student navigating college applications, financial aid forms, and career decisions is a young person who simply needs someone in their corner. Someone who sees them fully. Someone who shows up through the hard parts. Someone who believes in their potential before they believe in it themselves. That is what Verlee was for her community. That is what Verlee's Garden is for students today.

Verlee's Garden was founded in January 2026. We exist for students and families who deserve access to the same quality of guidance, mentorship, and opportunity that has historically only been available to a privileged few. Our goal is simple but profound, help students understand who they are, discover what is possible for them, and step into their power as change-makers who transform their communities and the world.
